Leeds Scare Maze is back, and we are dialing up the terror for 2026. Known for delivering spine-chilling, immersive horror experiences, this year we are unleashing our most disturbing live-action attraction yet: Horror Motel.

We are looking for energetic, dedicated, and fearless actors to bring this twisted nightmare to life and torment the guests who dare to check in. Our story takes us back to 1983, to the isolated Heaton’s Court Motel in Fort Davis, Texas.

On the surface, it’s a dusty roadside stop, but behind closed doors lies a gruesome trap. A murderous Janitor is on the loose, brutally slaughtering the unsuspecting victims who stay overnight.

But the horror doesn’t stop there. The entire hotel staff are in on the act, complicit in the bloodshed. To make matters worse, the Janitor uses his mistress, a manipulative Lady of the Night staying at the motel, to lure unsuspecting victims directly into his clutches.

We need a powerful cast of performers to embody these twisted characters and ensure our guests experience a night of pure, unadulterated dread.

The Janitor: The central monster of our tale. This role requires high-energy, imposing, and physically aggressive performers comfortable with wielding props and delivering high-impact scares.

Motel Receptionist: The chilling face of Heaton’s Court. This role demands excellent improvisation skills and a deeply unsettling, sinister charm to welcome guests to their doom.

Bellboys & Housekeeping Maids: The twisted workforce. These roles combine high-energy physical jumps with creepy, synchronized, or frantic interactions as you help cover up the Janitor’s messy crimes.

Lady of the Night: The Janitor’s seductive and lethal mistress. This character requires strong scripted and unscripted interaction skills, acting as the ultimate honeypot to lure unsuspecting maze-goers into danger.

Sheriff / Police: Are they here to save the day, or are they turning a blind eye? This role requires a commanding presence, loud vocal projection, and intense interaction with the crowd.

Hotel Guests: The eternal victims trapped in a 1983 nightmare. These roles require intense vocal stamina (screaming) and frantic, chaotic movement to heighten the sense of panic within the maze.
